Konstantinos LADIANOS
Born in Athens. Lives and works in Athens. He graduated from the painting department of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is mainly engaged in painting and ceramics, while the human figure is at the centre of his interest. Konstantinos Ladianos invites us to explore the potential of our imagination, a formidable enemy of reason. Whether painted, embroidered or modelled in metal, his dreamlike visions are haunted by the concept of the image as Surreality. His works are markedly spiritual, maintaining a close relationship between religious iconography and the expression of dreams and intimate desire. Through his art, he expresses his ontological preoccupations with theories of faith, culture, and aesthetics. He has presented the solo exhibition "Feed Me", in Gazon Rouge Gallery, Athens (2007), while he has participated in the group exhibitions Pott/Pott, Museum - Panourgia House, Amfissa (2022), Hell As Paviliion, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2013), (O)IKEA, Hydra School Projects, Hydra (2012), Paint-id, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki (2009), among others.
